Anyone know names of the pubs here in 1939 only got 137 William cunliffe.licensee

Think it was the Fox? William cunliffe had it in 1939 he played for Warrington.

Bridge inn,Fox,Bears Paw,Northwest,and maybe,Brewers Arms,Derby Arms.My dad said there used to be one called The Robin Hood,he lived in Actons Walk of Chapel Lane.

No 137 Chapel Lane was definitely the Fox Tavern. My late father-in-law, Harold Ashton, had the Bridge Inn which was No139 and the two pubs were on the corner of Bridge Street/Chapel Lane. Jimmy (Morris?) had the Fox then in the 1950's/60's.

Jimmy morris did have the fox inn into the early 70s then he moved to the honeysuckle in poolstock. He was my dad's uncle.
